boot alteration

Hello there, yes I am working on two projects simultaneously. Trust me it isn't the first time. So this project is for my friend and well known FX artist Miles TevesHe had the idea of sprucing up this regular pair of Durango leather boots into a unique pair of pirate boots. I have attached Miles' sketch and a picture of a boot with my paper mock up which is also the pattern I will use to cut the leather. The other picture is of the leather that will be manipulated, the cord that will be used for stitching and the hardware:buckles n buttons. I plan to both glue and hand sew to make this piece. I will post more pictures as I go. Enjoy!
